This is a Clarion call to all the students of the University Of Lagos affected with the issue of course editing, password reset, e.t.c 📢
The management of the University Of Lagos had good intentions when they decided to upgrade the school's server, but this had led to issues with regards to generating course form/docket.
Information from a reliable source in the University is that the software used to run the student's portal is not controlled by the CITS (the sector in charge of IT in the university), but by an external organisation.
What this simply means is that since there is a server error, its only the external organisation that can rectify this issue but at the direction of the school.
It is unfortunate that the school management is fully aware of this but are putting the blame on we students affected, claiming we are not serious students.
Since the server upgrade, passwords have been reset without we students being notified, courses registered for the semester has been tampered with, students can't generate examination dockets, e.t.c
It is so disheartening to realise that for the past two to three weeks, we have been deceived to write letters and the issue will be rectified but nothing has been done till date.
It is so painful to realise the school management knows it was the server that was upgraded that led to all these issues and still are not ready to hear our cries, knowing fully well that this might lead to an extra semester/extra year for majority of the affected students.
We have 24hours to give it one last shot before exams (excluding GST(s)) starts.
So therefore, for as many that are affected by the system upgrade, kindly join the movement tomorrow, 11th of October 2016 @ the Senate Building (love garden) by 8:30AM.
If there are students with evidences to back up their complaints, kindly come along with them.
Peacefully we will walk down to the sector of the institution responsible for rectifying these issues to air our grievances one last time.
We won't fight, carry placards, or throw stones at anyone, but peacefully we will plead for these issues to be rectified and with God on our side something will be done.
Kindly re-bc till it gets to the last student affected.

IT HAS BEEN CONFIRMED THAT THERE WILL BE A SILENT AND PEACEFUL PROTEST..BY THE SET OF AFFECTED STUDENTS.
WE JUST HOPE THEY WONT BE TREATED THE SAME WAY THE NANS EXECUTIVES WERE TREATED.
