Elekwa Nnanna Phillip, is a young musician who hails from the eastern Nigeria precisely from Ebonyi state.
Phillip,also known as 'Dr.philz' is in his late twenties and he is the second child of four in the family of Mr and Mrs Elekwa.
Had his first school leaving certificate from 'Rohi montessori international school', railway compound Ibadan, and his Senior School Certificate from 'Abadina college', Ibadan.
He went further to the 'University of Ibadan' and graduated with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree(DVM). He currently is a practicing veterinarian.
He started music in his teenage age as he got interested in the adult choir and was given a chance to join after he successfully scored a song perfectly.
In the year 2004,this took a turn and became a career as he wrote his first song with the help of Oyinkansade Akande aka 'Oyinkanade'. They created a group called The chosen generation"TCG" which later was filed down from an 18man crew into a 4 man crew called Bridgez. They were a blessing to Ibadan city and at a later time Dr.Philz had to take a break from music as it was beginning to affect his studies in school and has emerged fully into his first love music ministry with the sole agenda to bring the message of HOPE and GRACE to everyone.
In 2010,with The Bridgez, won 2nd place at the 'Nescafe West African Revelation' under the mentorship of the Late Nomoreloss and also has gone for several competitions but, in 2013 had a major break as he won The Apollos Music Challenge done in the University of Ibadan.
He is a skilled man and has served in different assemblies as a choir member which lead him to becoming a choir leader as he lead a few choirs during his university days. He has actively been involved in ministrations and concerts as he is a song writer has written for different choirs.
He is currently an active member of 'The Vantage Heralds' of 'The Vantage Church', Ibadan headed by Rev Yinka Adeleke.
